Sureflap On Television

SureFlap, the high tech cat flap which uses a pet’s microchip as its personal door key, is to be featured on television.  An advertising campaign highlighting the benefits of the product and its availability from retail outlets will be aired on ITV2, 5*, Sky Living, Universal, Animal Planet and NAT GEO WILD between 10th-30th October 2011. 

This is a new venture for SureFlap as Marketing Manager Judith Bank explains.

She says: “To support retailers we are piloting a series of television advertisements to help promote SureFlap, particularly with animal lovers.

“The retail channel is very important for SureFlap as it provides an opportunity for people to see the product.  Many retailers have said that having the demonstration unit on show works very well and encourages people to spend longer in the store.”

To ensure that retailers are able to respond to interest generated by the advertising SureFlap provides easy anytime, anywhere access to a unique trade webshop for retail customers.  The SureFlap website also includes a stockist locator where customers can search for their nearest retail stockist using a postcode lookup feature.

“SureFlap is an essential for owners whose lives are being made miserable by intruder cats but also makes a stylish and original present for a cat owner.  We believe the pre-Christmas period is a good time to raise the profile of the product.

“There are still many consumers who prefer to see a product before they purchase it now that we have national coverage with retail outlets, we are keen to drive traffic to these stores.”
