Leading pet food manufacturer, Pets Choice, is celebrating its 30th anniversary this month and has an exciting 12 months ahead in this milestone year.
Since its establishment in 1988, Pets Choice has significantly expanded its portfolio, now boasting ten brands including TastyBone, Meatiful and its most recent acquisition, Spike’s World.
With a combined industry knowledge of 135 years across the brand portfolios, Pets Choice is a major supplier to the UK grocery, independent and pet speciality sectors.
Tony Raeburn, Pets Choice CEO, comments: “Five years ago, we dreamt of moving into a new purpose-built head office, growing the Webbox brand and seeking new acquisitions to strengthen our customer offering. To many, this sounded like an unrealistic goal, however, here we are in 2018 having achieved all that and more.
“We are incredibly proud of everything that we have achieved at Pets Choice over the last 30 years, thanks to the hard work of all of our dedicated staff.”
In 2018, Webbox Naturals, one of Pets Choice’s leading ranges, made its TV debut with a national ad campaign that delighted viewers with a flurry of furry animals, building on an impressive first 12 months for the brand.
Its 30th year will see the company opening a brand-new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility close to its head office, in Blackburn, Lancashire. The new 68,500 sq. ft. facility will enable the company to considerably increase its total manufacturing capacity.
Tony adds: “The ultimate honour came last year, when I was invited to meet the Queen at the Palace and to receive the Queens Award for Export on behalf of all the staff at Pets Choice.
“We’re set for a big year ahead and excited to continue producing high-quality products for animals of all shapes and sizes, from dogs to ducks, we are truly invested in providing only the best for our furry friends.”
