The British Equestrian Trade Association is set to continue its high-profile sponsorships in 2017 with key supporting roles in two of the country’s top events. In June, BETA will support the Equi-Trek Bramham International Horse Trials’ CIC 3* competition for a fifth time, before returning to the Festival of British Eventing, at Gatcombe Park, in August as presenting sponsor for a 12th year.
“The sponsorships – one in the North, the other in the South – are a wonderful opportunity for BETA to fly the flag for rider safety and highlight the work of the trade association to a large audience of enthusiastic and knowledgeable horsey people,” said BETA executive director Claire Williams.
“Getting out and about to meet riders is really important to us. As horse owners ourselves, we have a great deal in common and you can’t beat having a chat to find out what matters most and to explain the ways in which BETA can help.”
The trade association will offer free riding hat and body protector safety checks at each event, stage its luxury Rider & Horse Hamper prize draw featuring £1,500 worth of equestrian clothing and equipment, hand out BETA doggy bandanas and goody bags, run its social media photography competition and host a tradestand holders’ breakfast with the BETA Best Stand Awards.
Bramham will see BETA supporting the Pony Club Team Show Jumping for a third year and all riders competing in this and the CIC 3* will receive a special BETA stable plaque.
At Gatcombe, the trade association will present the BETA Anniversary Trophy to the highest-placed rider to complete the British Open Championship for the first time. BETA will also support the Pony Club Inter-Club Team Show Jumping and Pony Club Mounted Games.
