Only a month after the launch of Scarsdale Vets new website, www.weareoneteam.co.uk has already attracted first-class candidates, filled roles and received fantastic feedback.
In mid-July, Sacrsdale Vets launched their new website, www.weareoneteam.co.uk, to recruit staff at its well-established Scarsdale Vets Hospital and Pride Veterinary Centre in Derby.
Founded in 1945, Scarsdale Vets currently have more than 300 employees and, with expansion plans underway, creating the new recruitment site was an important step for the business, as Sarah Trouse, HR Manager, explains: “We wanted a website that pulled everything together into one place to make searching and applying for our roles a lot easier for potential candidates. It is a site that attracts people from across the UK and from overseas which is important especially when we are trying to fill our more specialist roles.”
The website represents the unique services that Scarsdale Vets and its Pride Veterinary Centre offer. The dedicated website advertises its new roles and showcases their range of departments, including:
- specialist referral teams
- small animal vets
- nursing, clinical & non-clinical support services
- equine and farm teams
With its friendly and informative format, the website encourages visitors to contact Scarsdale for more information, is loaded with photos and videos on top of presenting an image of what working at Scarsdale Vets is all about. For prospective applicants, there is a broad reach too, promoted via social media channels, such as Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.
Since its launch, Scarsdale have been delighted with the site’s feedback and its early success is measured by the roles they have already filled in such a short time, as Sarah says: “We’re really pleased with the website. Nationally, at the moment, it is hard to recruit vets and nurses and with the recent launch of www.weareoneteam.co.uk, we have already filled a number of roles. We have attracted candidates at all levels, from kennel assistants to the more specialist positions. The website’s videos add a personal touch too and will be refreshed every quarter. As a whole, the site showcases what a great place Scarsdale Vets is to work for interested applicants. We also focus on wellbeing, training and employee engagement which are important aspects of our working ethos.”
After just one visit to their website it is easy to see what a welcoming working environment Scarsdale offers its vets, veterinary nurses and associated employees, as Sarah agrees: “Scarsdale is a great place to work. We are a really close-knit community of employees who share a common interest of caring for animals. There is also a lot of support for our staff with ongoing help so people fit in quickly, but also have the support and know-how to develop their careers.”
The firm have established a sizeable presence in Derby and the surrounding area, yet remain ambitious. Scarsdale’s new website complements the company’s long-term expansion plans, as Sarah adds: “Scarsdale hopes to open a few more premises over the next few years with joint ventures to encourage vets to manage their practices independently but with our brand, backing and support.”
